I aint that big up on baseball but I saw a sports special that said every rookie he has pictched against has out preformed him. Not necessarily because they are that much better than him, but because the hype around him is so huge, other rookies step their game up when they have to play against him.

Like the pride each pitcher has makes them pitch even harder because they know if they can do better than he does, they MUST be good.

Had something to do with what Ichiro said when asked about playing against Dice K. He had some crazy ass quote about how it brings out the most rage from deep down within his soul or something nutty like that.
