What is the Weekly Workshop?
  • Each Monday we'll start a new workshop thread.
  • The purpose is for anyone to post any music production questions they may have.
  • The goal is to help all those that have questions, so all members are encouraged to ask questions and also answer other members.
  • Even if you think it's a stupid question, ask anyway!
The difference with a regular thread and the Weekly Workshop is this encourages all members to ask questions and to also help one another.

So - who needs help?

Heres a jewel. Want more thickness in your thump, fat snare or even width and dimension? Try mixing left and right independently...awesome huh, who would've thought to treat your left speaker from your high speaker independently. Come on, lets get out the phantom zone every once in a while.

The importance of having a lane and owning/mastering it in the false ideology of the do everything yourself literally era.

I have a question concerning mixing and mastering beats. I noticed that sometimes when I upload my beats to different websites such as Soundcloud, YouTube, Airbit etc. there are certain differences in sound especially in high frequencies (hihats, crushes and cymbals become mushy). I also noticed it happens only to some of my beats. Some of them remain the same. My question is how should I mix/master my beats in order to avoid such differences in sound after upload.
