Everyone always wonders what the the swing button is used for well here's a tad about it.
A swing beat can be used two ways. One is the Swing Bar, and the Second is time delay on The piano roll. What you is this. After Your drum pattern is straight. Send the selected sounds to Piano Roll by right-clicking the sample channel and clicking the "Send To Piano Roll" tab.
Then the notes in the sequencer will be in the piano roll. Now you can move the notes left or right of the sequencer by holding down Alt & Left Clicking the note. Have the Drum pattern playing while you move the note to hear the difference in the beat, and the feel of the beat is different.
It is alot but after some practice, it will be quick.
Hope this helps.
Peace
