Vocal recording in Cubase

Have I missed something?

What I did was loaded up an audio track, and for the IN, I selected the only selectable option (which referred to my M-Audio box, but not in its proper name) and nothing comes out.

I can get sound to come out in Ableton, but I think it sucks, I loaded it up today and it looks horrible!

Help me peoples please!

I don't know if this will work, but when i first connected my mic nothing would come out, I went to Devices, then VST connections, then on the input tab select "ad bus" and OK, then go to OUTPUT and ad bus then ok....after that change the input and output to stereo and it should work.....if not then I don't know...lol

I had the same problem I use cubase le now cuz my sx3 had a virus but anyway I hooked up my mic to the mbox I had no sound so I hooked it up to the mixer n I got sound my mbox is workin good itz just I forgot how to set it up for doin vocals
