Yo, i'm in the market for some new needles. Right now i'm using the shure m-447's and although i wouldn't have a problem just going out and getting new styli for those (since they are kind of the benchmark for turntablists) i'm kind of curious about those new q-bert versions of the concord and the ohm...has anyone tried or read about these? i'm curious as to whether or not i'm missin out on anything...it seems like just marketing for me but who knows...

I don't know about the Qbert ones but you can't go wrong with the 447's. You can also check this:

yeah i have the shure M447's, they are nice. You should just stick with those and you can get new stylus for $20.00 a piece at www.turntablelab.com

word...after reading up on that link fade sent me, i think i actually might go with the m44-g styli since i sample and mix too...seems like it holds just as well as the 7's and it has a clearer sound...thanks for the feed back everyone..
