THE POINT OF THIS COMPETITION IS TO DEVISE A TRACK THAT IS DIVISABLE BY 2. MEANING YOU CAN DIVIDE ITS LENGTH AND BPM BY 2. THE SONG CAN EITHER BE 2 MINUTES OR 4, JUST AS LONG AS THE END PRODUCT CAN BE FACTORED DOWN TO 2. IN OUR QUEST TO MAKE THE PERFECT BEAT, IT'D BE INTERESTING TO SEE HOW TESTY AND/ OR ANNOYING THIS CAN GET.

Divisibility by 2
A whole number is divisible by 2 if the digit in its units position is even, (either 0, 2, 4, 6, or 8).

Examples:

The number 84 is divisible by 2 since the digit in the units position is 4, which is even.
The number 333336 is divisible by 2 since the digit in the units position is 6, which is even.
The number 1297000 is divisible by 2 since the digit in the units position is 0, which is even.

SO ANYWAY I DECIDED THAT WE SHOULD MAKE TRACKS THAT ARE DIVISABLE BY 2 IN EVERY ASPECT: LENGTH, BPM, MEASURES, SAMPLES

SO A SAMPLE SONG COULD LOOK LIKE THIS-

LENGTH: 2:20
BPM: 140
MEASURES: 16
SAMPLES: 10- 1 KICK, 1 SNARE, 2 HIHATS, 2 MARVIN GAYE SAMPLES, 2 BASSES, 2 CYMBALS....

I'm down for it. It will probably end like trash but I'm interested. Why are you frontin' people? To me, it ain't different that the guy who call out an "all sample battle" or "scarry beat battle". Mike, would it have other things to respect? Like being hiphop or all sample... I would prefer not, that way I would use some drum n' bass/speedup breaks.

I CAN IMAGINE THAT THIS WOULD BE HARD FOR SOME PRODUCERS CAUSE THEIR TRACKS HAVE NO STRUCTURE, BUT TO ALL WHO WANT A CHALLENGE IN BEAT ARITHMETIC EITHER PUT UP OR SHUT UP... IM WORKING ON MINE TODAY AND I'LL HAVE A BEAT POSTED LATER THIS WEEKEND AS A CATALYST.
