speaker wire to rca????

There's no way your sound card will put out enough amps to power those speakers. You have to have something to "amplify the signal" i.e an amplifier!!!!! And if you're that cheap....lol (gotta crawl b4 u can walk). If you have an old home stereo amplifier around go from your sound card (RCA) into your home amp (RCA) and connect your stereo speakers to the home amp(if u don't have one get one from a pawn shop or something). Just Know one thing..you won't be hearing how your music actually sounds. You need a descent studio amplifier and Monitors or at least powered monitors for that, not home stereo speakers. I suggest u get some descent headphones for the time being or at least til u can afford some monitors. U can grab a descent pair from BestBuys for about 30 bucks. Just make sure the package says studio monitor headphones.
Home amps and home speakers do there on thing to the sound, in other words it won't be raw. GOOD LUCK!

thats not being cheap. i have made alot of my own cables. for fuk sake you could spend thousands in just cables,(fuk that). i have made rca's, speaker cables with 1/4 inch ends. and what ever else that comes to mind and is or applicable. i have noticed that some of the cables that i have made last longer than lets say monster cables. and you save about %75 $$$
just goto radio shack and buy your ends. get some solder and a soldering gun. if i was you i would take some junk ones apart first to see how the hot and the grounds are placed, then try it out for yourself.

Make sure your home or (what ever spot your setting your shit up in) insurance is paid up when u follow that advice!!! Every wire is not made for every application.

he was just wanting to know if he could convert speaker wire to rca's. its not like i was telling him how to circuit bend his tv set into a microwave refrigerator.

the answer is yes... go to Radio Shack... they sell RCA jacks, as well as every other connection... make sure u purchase a soldering iron and the right solder as well if u need these also.
