I have read lot's of forums about american rappers, and I can't deny that it was in the USA were all this culture originated, but hiphop is global and here in Spain we have great artists and group I think you may enjoy. I am going to give here 3 artists/groups that deserve some attention, here them out and let me know what do you think.
ACQUA TOFFANA: Madrid's finnest, the fathers of today's rap culture and school of south-Madrid. This group is integrated by Kael Toffana, DJ Tony Karate, Elio Toffana and Dano (been the last two the most succesfull ones, both as rappers and also Dano as a producer, even for american rappers)
TROFEOS: my favourite track from their same-named EP
RECOMMENDED ALBUM: Trofeos
7 NOTAS 7 COLORES: from El Prat de Llobregat, Barcelona. Another group this one with a lot of integrants (which weren't allways the same): Principiante, DJ Vadim, Eddy la Sombra, Dive Dibosso, DJ Neas and Mucho Muchacho (been him the face of the group and known as the favourite rapper of your favourite rapper)
NIKES NUEVAS: my favourite song from La Mami Internacional album
RECOMMENDED ALBUM: Hecho, Es Simple
FOYONE: from Malaga, south Spain. To young for been consider old school, old enough to be considered a reference. Born between the old and new school generations Foyone is one of the best rappers in Spain. He is known in Spain for his beef with El Jincho (more famous rapper with controversial lyrics, personally not a recommendation), but real rap enjoyers know him for his raw style. He also has lots of collabs with lots of artist
RAPSINCORTE VII: classic Foyone, this is a good preview of his style
RECOMMENDED ALBUM: Rapsincorte. El Album (not really a album, it's more a recopilation of all this "sessions", it all started before sessions were a thing)
If you enjoyed this post just let me know and I can show you more Spanish rappers. Hope you enjoy Spanish Hip-Hop.
