Hey,

A soundcard is a device which you plug into your computer, it allows you to hear and record audio to and from your computer. If you want to listen to a cd on your computer, you need a soundcard; if you want to record some music on your computer, you need a soundcard.

thanks. I have like a 7 year old yamaha midi keyboard. If i got a soundcard, could i plug the keyboard into it and record what i play onto the computer? what cords would i need and what program would play the music? I have fl and cep.
