Yo what up I am in the area of buying a sound card. Looking for something that will be mobile and good quality.

I am going to be dj'n with it and also using it for a little bit of recording but mostly for my dj sets.

I was looking at the Emu 0202 cause it was in my price range.

How are you planning on DJing with it?
If your a DJ there are packages that cost a little more but are far more useful for DJs.
All you get with EMU is a simple interface and nothing more. So it depends on your setup first and also how many tracks you plan to record simultaneously.
If your just doing something like an MC over your beats 1-2 mic pres will be fine. But if you plan to go onto bigger things later on like mic acoustic guitars in stereo accompanied by a lead guitarist or something of that nature your going to need more pre's.
Also if you have outboard gear like a MPC and you plan to utilize the assignable outputs - youl want enough I/O to accommodate that on your interface.

One last thing to consider is the protocol.
USB or FW.
FW is far more reliable and results in less latency so I would suggest moving in that direction preferably.
