Hey everyone, I'm a guitarist/drummer/pianist turned producer from NC here with my first post. Looking forward to hearing what everyone else has for me to listen to

The main thang is ok. I mean, I haven't heard yet with headphones but I can't at the moment but the mix seems ok apart the main riff in the background that I would increase a little bit. Thank you for your opinion! What were you listening on? I would say the same about yours as far as taste goes haha to me yours definitely has a great mix (listening on my monitors) but to me it sounds a little boring and like I've heard it before. Check the bass note, is that in tune with the rest of the song? Sounds to me like an F# but the song's in E minor. Maybe add some changeups? Like I said I do like the mix though and the bass rhythm drives the groove. Keep it up that sucks about your hard drive btw, check out Lacie they make really good externals

I heard it on my laptop speakers but they aren't so good I'll hear tomorrow with my headphones if I find them... And yeah the bass is out of tune I'll correct it when I can (I made it as a solo track and I made it using wrong key and I hadn't time for remaking it so I uploaded what I did have at the moment). I know it sounds boring but that's because this and every song I make are meant for rappers and I need to make them without too much variations for making simpler for people writing bars. The main string melody probably sounds like you heard it because I haven't made it. I made only variations for making it more dynamic and made the bass strings by myself. I won't say the source but maybe someone here will recognize where it comes from. Said that I don't think that's a problem. I think if something is not done by me but I use it with my own ideas it's still fine. I'm an aspiring producer not musician(even if I'm learning piano and music theory).

Yeah like I said, just personal taste. On my soundcloud I have a few crazy things that nobody could really rap over but yours sounds extremely rap overable so you definitely achieved your goal.

@Alejandro strings goes hard. sound like t a hell of disstrack gonna come around and the drums quite similar to eminems without me lol, anyway good work. i would turn the drums a lil louder

It is very very good and the vibe is really inspiring. I would add a hook with maybe a legato continuous string sound in the background or maybe an orchestral staccato with the same melody as the main one without anything else. I know it won't be so latin vibe after all but as a hook works

I really like the theme and where you are going with this. I think the drums might be a bit on the loud side. But I like the playfullness.The bassline is nice.
I recently purchased my first synth. The Roland Gaia SH-01. And this is my first beat using the synth (in Ableton).

@Sleepy Wizard ; Nice one, really dig the percs, esp the clap sound that pans left n right , and the spacey melodies are straight fire. Mix is sounding great and everything meshes well, just wish this was longer but I guess it's just a demo. Also this sounds like a beat Tech N9ne would murder aha
@Alejandro ; Tbh this sounds like some 007 top-secret mission music with a Goosebumps feel to it (reminds me of the theme song haha). Very chill and laid back I must say and violin sounds great. Very different from what I listen to but still cool.
@OMAR. ; wow you nailed it for a Latin type beat, very modern sounding and i'm sure a top spanish artist could make this a hit! Mix sounds professional to me, guitar super clean, bass smooth and drums are nice! Nice tag too btw
@tommetass ; Quick note, I don't think the 10s silence, in the beginning, is necessary. Overall, it's not my sort of vibe because of the slow tempo, but it is very chill and relaxing and pretty much a lofi beat. I'm sure it would work nicely as an emotional type beat that someone like Drake or Russ could rap over but I'd prefer the drums to come in sooner like at 0:42 would be a nice drop. Keep it up!
Check out my new chill trap beat that I just posted when you get the chance! It's an emotional type beat that I thought Kodak Black and Russ would sound great on. Let me know what yall think about it, any feedback or thoughts is much appreciated! I recommend listening with headphones

Thanks man. It's actually not silence, but some noise (actually me crunching some paper with a lot of reverb). The volume is perhaps a bit too low..
Love your beat though.The rythm and flow is great. The pads are cool, and I really like the disharmonic melody.
I like trap music, all though I don't really make it myself, but I do feel that the drums (especially the hihats) often are too loud in these type of beats. I felt the same in your beat... just a tad too much volume on the hihats..
