Hey man you gonna have fun, i don't know if you have ever worked with an S950 but you might need the manual to figure out the midi configuration, I mean you might figure it out but I consider myself saavy with it......and I had to get the manual for like an hour or so to see how the midi menus are arranged.....as far as the EPS thats also another beast, but it shouldn't be as difficult....one question how much sample time do you have on the EPS?......you can make your life uncomplicated if you have at least about 32 MB of memory in there or more if it fits......that way you don't have to involve yourself with the s950.....I would use the EPS as the main Sampler and load everything in there and arrange....what you have my friend is sampler overkill if you ask me....the Roland is a dope ass sampler too from back in the day......I would just figure out 1. what do you want to do.....start out simple.....use the EPS if it has enuff memory and the turntables to sample from......hook everything up and record to the TOOLS ok?.....thats my advice, then gradually add the other pieces if you have to.....honestly if I were you I would sell the S950 and the MS-1 ....keep the EPS and if you really wanted to have another sample take that cash from selling the s950 and MS-1 cop a 1000 or 2000XL then you straight......unless you really must have the killer Retro lab??????? In my opinion its great to have the old gear and I have all of the top samplers you can think of at one point or another.....but Akai is such great company that listens and implements things from the old at the same time and then usually makes a good product that works efficiently....and that will co-exist a Helluva lot better with the G4 than the s950...LOL
