Sampling With The Mpc2000xl

What it do fellow Ill Muzik family members? I'm interested in sampling via vinyl into my MPC 2000xl. I have no knowledge about turntables/record players; is this one better than that one, what to look for when buying turntables/turntables, are there certain features i need to make sure are included? Any info would be appreciated.

If you're just gonna be using your turntables for sampling and nothing else (such as scratching etc.) then any turntable is fine. But if you're gonna do a bit of scratching and stuff, just make sure its direct drive.

You'll need a mixer or an amp too to get the level up to line

yea, if i was you i would go to the thrift store and check them out, get a cheap turntable, get like a 70 dollar mixer and you off
