Anyone know how to record a drum pattern on the pads and get them to sound right...if so please let me know step by the the process please......

Which Fantom do you own? What do you mean by "sound right"? There's a handful of cool multimedia samples on Roland's site.

I have a question how close are the pads on it to the mpc? Also can you play sample drum through it?
