problm with my bluebird

ok the mic i am using is a blue mics bluebird. when its just sitting there, record enabled, i can hear a pop hrough my heaadphones every few seconds. i checked all connections and it is definately the mic and not the cable or mixer. has anyone had this problem before??

How loud is the pop and is it in the actual recorded mix or just the phones.?
Is it only when you have it record enabled, like rec button lit, not necesarily recording?
