Note Release

I am working with a 2000xl and i have chopped up the samples and i have them in a program, but the notes are very choppy. they dont have a lot of flow. i wanted to know if the 2000xl had a function for release. i've used release with the nnxt and dr rex in reason.

Try changing the decay and set the pads to mute the other pads when pressed.

Thats what I would do to. Once you get in there and manipulate them a bit, it should give you what you are looking for.
