i asked this question about cubase a while ago and got no response hopefully sum knowledgable recycle cats can help me out wit this. adobe audition has a feat called noise reduction. i can high light a certain frequency (usually a turntable hum) and i can delete that sound from the rest of the recording. filtering out the turntable hum. my question is, is there a feature in recycle that will let me do this, and hows it done?

well not really, there are a few eq presets to remove noise but nothing really powerfull. With most editors you should select a bit of the wav file that contains the wave( preferably with no sound at all, just the static ), hit up the denoiser plugin/process and scan the selected bit for the treshold value and note that value. Now cancel the process and select the entire wavefile, hit the denoiser again and enter the previously scanned value for the whole file.
