What's good people?!?

I'm new here...but not really. I've been around lurkin' for months but just haven't posted anything so I thought I would make my formal introduction.

I'm an aspiring recording engineer (I'm in school for it)...and I'm looking to dabble in producing and songwriting as well. I'm a rookie, just starting out really, got a little experience...done some assisting...but I'm hoping this site can help me learn some tricks of the trade and network a little bit.

...btw...I'm a female. I haven't come across many females in this field but I know there's gotta be a few ladies reppin' on here.

Welcome to IllMuzik. Yeah, there's so females on here but most just pop in once in a while. But I think the fact that you mentioned you're female will cause this thread to explode! LOL.

Welcome... well.. there's a grip of girls here.... they'll find you maybe... P.Gyal, MissCC803, Eurydice, JadeFoxx(along time ago), and others... i can't think of right now.. (sorry ladies...) but just make it known that your're one and i'm sure that'll give you a shout... once again

welcome... i'm glad to see the female population rising.. that means, the guys are being gentlemen for a change and not bruts/prevs, like we usually are...

feel free to chime in to...

I've only messed with Cool Edit and of course Pro Tools a little from being in the studio.
At one point I was playing around with fruity loops.
I just got a new comp about a month ago so I'm in search of some software that would work well for me for a home set-up.

And its good to know that there are more females doing their thing out there...thats definitely whats up. Hopefully, I'll become one of the smart ones too...lol.
