Aight I Got a Sample off this old Reggae Record I just Took The 8 bar Intro but Whats wierd is this 8 Bar loop I cut is 145 Bpm But the Song is only 88 Bpm why is this ?

Anyways I dont think i can fuck with this sample when i Time Stretch it It Sounds 2 fucked up or when i Pitch Shift Even with Preserve Pitch its still Sounding Kinda Fucked up

first what are you using to sample, also why did you sample it at 145 bpm j/w

Using a turntable and i dont no what u mean by why did i sample it at 145 bpm thats what it came out 2 its wierd because if you listen 2 it , it sounds slow but for some reason when i put it into Recycle the Bpm Said 145 it also said 145 in Acid 2 so Fuck I really Dont no

Chop it into eight one bar samples, this will give you a better idea of the real tempo.
There may be some sort of intro or break that's long, and that's throwing off the tempo.
Chop it into smaller loops, or even chop it into individual hits and play it back yourself at any tempo...
