"Kashmir"
I dont have a great article or anything but..Jon Bonham..What a drummer, guy is quite an influence..
The way they constructed and mixed them though should be a lesson to all of us..They did some hands down good shit.
I f ya people hate rock put on some headphones and set ya mind free.

If you never heard "Stairway to heaven" before go ahead and check it out, the arrangement and compisition is also incredible. It starts really get high mellow and turns really wu-ish head bangin and ends mellow again..
Think about that in your theory..

"Ramble"
I dont know who put the hobbit with this, but the way they record robert plants vocals and the delay and stuff is admirable.. This was the 70's , before supertaps-6 lol. Again good compisition, the bass line is nice and the interaction between the the guys playin is classic. Its hippie..

"When the Levee breaks"
Forget the vid or watch it but the beat is a now a famous break beat and song is hot.take the link down if its too political , I couldnt find a public link..

I never know what heads have been exposed to , I take for granted that people are aware of this music when they compose hiphop..

love john bonham, one of the greatest drummers ever. what's amazing about him is that he's completely self taught, and manages to have his own playing style, while still being technical. Moby Dick is one of my favorite drum solos

On the subject of drummers Art Blakey.

Hate to say it but never heard of him, who did he play with? Has he been sampled and how has he influenced you?
Any link to hear him?
Also this is a Neal Pert free thread, I hate hearing about that guy I dont care how many doctorites he has in a drum...

Hes a legend, but obviously one of the best kept secrets also. I sense a contradiction there.
You will just have to see what you can find, i dont have any links.
After seeing Stevie Wonder going at it on youtube the other day, Id have to say hes up there with the best of em also.
