What do you think of cats who bang the MPC like this? I respect cats who do it, but it's not really my steez.

I think it just proves how the mpc or maschine can be an instrument even with the technology put into it. but i wouldnt make araabmuzik as an example.

In my opinion one the best finger drummers out there is David "Fingers" Haynes.
He gets really funky on his play here proving it can be an instrument.



Another good example is Jeremy Ellis.
Anyone except Araabmuzik would be a good example for the mpc or maschine or any drum machine to be an instrument.

not picking on Araab, but only for visual reference. I get what you're saying...it just doesn't move me as a beat maker...even if I knew how to bang pads like that, I would still rather bang out beats than bang on pads all day

The thing with Araab is that it's good what he does, but it's for a certain crowd, and more visual than anything. Because if you listen to what he's doing, it's so fast that it's not that enjoyable. But I get what he's doing, it's dope.

That other one with 2 MPC's is awesome and hard to do! Good shit.
