Mpc 500

Hi

So I'm thinking of getting an mpc 500 or Korg electribe. Basically I don't have many hours a week to produce so I'm wanting something fairly simple.

I am confused as to what an mpc is. Does this not come with any sounds at all. Do all sounds need to be imported or sampled in?

Any explanation would be a great help.

The Akai MPC 500 is a sampler. I believe it does come with factory sounds on the memory card. You can always erase them and use whatever sounds you want. You can either Import sounds through the memory card or sample using the inputs.

What will you use it for?
Are you looking for portability?

I definitely recommend looking into the Roland SP 404sx. They both can be battery powered but the 404sx has more effects that you can play with. It does look ugly as hell tho.

I cant speak for the Korg Electribe as I havent come across one.
