OK here is the set up

I have an MPC 200xl M-audio 410 firewire audio interface and Cubase SX

I am trying to get MPC to sync to Cubase so I can track out my beats. I have read the manuals for both cubase and the MPC. I have set the MPC to sync with MIDI clock(also i have check the inputs etc..)
With cubase I have set up M-audio and done all the devce settings etc..
I know the audio interface is fine casue I record with it all the time. I also have made sure I have chosen the right MIDI settings (ex MIDI MMC and MIDI time control) from the sync setup.

Its just not working with MIDI wtf???

Any suggestions

P.S FYI i did seach the forum for simlar questions there was one from last year but it dident go into details

I'm more of a hands on kind a guy but try to save your sequence from the mpc as a midi file in cubase go to new project 24 track audio recorder put the floppy into the pc and import midi file it will put what ever tracks you used from the mpc at the bottom of the 24 track recorder..On the left you click on the tracks to assign each track to the correct output push play on cubase and you wont even need to use the midi clock on the mpc....*before you do any of this copy the bars of your sequence toabout 250 so it will give you enough time in cubase because what it does is stop playing after your last bar

midi files from mpc will not work properly if you use the 16 levels button at all and if you use step edit to fuck with attack delay filter settings etc. and this is not normal midi data and is 'mpc' exclusive. syncing cubase and the mpc is easy. i have sold my mpc but i mixed down regularly by syncing you just have to make sure the sync settings on the mpc and your computer are the same and set your computer to master and your mpc to slave. this is easy !! just keep trying
