making Adobe Master In Tracking Process?

Whats up Ill Fam? Yo I got a question for the adobe Pro's or anyone that knows how to do this....Im getting an Asr-10 but I dont have the luxury of pro tools soo I have been using Adobe audition ever since 1.5 was released! Now I want to know If I can set adobe up to be a master in my tracking process when I track my beats out I will have the delta 44 and a yamaha mg12/4 mixer and the asr-10.

How would I set adobe up to be the master when I want to track beats out? so that when I press record on adobe It will start my asr-10 thru midi and it will record the audio?

um midi in the asr 10 n midi out of ya soundcard pc n set up the asr pend on how many outputs the asr has

i use audition to Eq n all that i just use protools for vocals n the final touch itz funny

i record the beat to my computer using Cubase Le
i mix Eq n stuff wit Audition
i record vocals n finishing touch wit Protools lol

Jus recording as audio I can do but I need to know how to set it up to track on time ya know..? Like pro tools....I should we should say the same thing to everyone else that uses Pro tools, Cubase, Sonar, Or any other Pro audio Program Why not jus record audio? I jus wanna know how to get em to sync?

NorthJack, ..not sure if you have an asr-10 manual, but this unit is a little different when chasing midi. It is a fantastic machine but not as intuitive (for midi) as a lot of korg / roland products. Here is the text.

• If recording from an external sequencer, set the ASR-10 to sync to MIDI clocks. On the
Edit/Seq•Song page, select CLOCK SOURCE=MIDI. Set this parameter to INTERNAL if
recording “live” from a MIDI guitar or other multi-channel controller.
With these parameters set, pressing the Record button places the ASR-10 into Record Waiting
mode (the display will flash WAITING. . .). If external sync is used (CLOCK SOURCE=MIDI),
recording begins with the first MIDI clock received after the MIDI Start command. If internal
sync is selected (CLOCK SOURCE=INT), then recording begins when the first note is received.

BTW. never apologize for wanting to do anything within the parameters of your gear no matter how unnecessry it may seem. That is a huge concern with many project studio owners. Most tax thier gear to about 20% of its capacity. Adobe 1.5 is a destructive format so routing your ASR outside of the program allows you to send it through any number of effects / preamps / etc.. before printing to tape. Many producers do this to experiment with analog sounds before recording, and for you it will be as easy as tapping your spacebar until you like what you hear.
