LOL thats probably exactly what he has if hes making 60 beats a month ! Serious each to his own but if the beats you make are good no1 gives a fuck about how many beats you make ! Don't try and aim for numbers of songs each month, when your doing a track you know when its time to start the next one don't rush things thinking oh shit i gotta do another 50 in the next week lol !

Hey man if you multiply 5 days a week and 10 hour days just to be conservative.....that's 200hours a month spent on production and remember that's based on 5 days a week 10hour days.......suppose he only took 2hours to finish 1 beat......that's 100 beats.....so you figure that he is taking about 2.75 hours give or take an hour to make 1....and that isn't including the weekend and he could have 100 beats done.......so if you included the weekends and more than 10 hours days.......he is spending around 4 or 5 hours on a beat to come up with 60.....if you are a professional producer this isn't really an unrealistic work ethic if you ask me????? think about it.....these cats have goals and projects that must be done......it's work....not a hobby or just for fun.....it's not a game for them. PLus the main thing is they have figured out techniques and probably have patterns they can just reuse, switch out drums on the fly....you keep what works for you and then add to it.....your process is what can add to your productivity.....I know this sounds like some economics or some math but it's the way to look at your craft from a business perspective, oh and lets not forget they have dug for and found the Basic KILLER kit of drums, or he stole it from Madlib...LOL...lets face it man, they are pros and cut corners whenever possible....they are not spending hours and hours trying to search for the right drum sample like they make it sound....but they definitely looking for hot loops and vinyl...
Does it really matter how many beats you make or how fast you can make so-and-so beats?!....Honestly, i think that in tha long run - that doesnt make u any better of a producer than the next cat. Shitting beats out constantly doesnt make u a superior beatmaker or sumthin, cummon!?....

why a couple of yall sound like you hatin on him... im striving to set my life up to have the time to put out beats like that... and some times i have done like 30 or 40 a month pretty steadily and definately some of those beats are out there and some are bangers and some are weird and whatever but none are shit... these mugs get to work on music all day airday ike a job and they are blessed to do that.. like big d said it aint that much vs time spent ... im striving to get to that point where i can quit my job again and hopfully have time to make a shitload of beats like that....

60 beats a month isnt really that hard. All it is, is 2.5 beats a day. I mean if you dont have a 9-5 are you telling me you cant make 2.5 beats a day.
yeah thats not really that many.. when i had no job i could do that easy... if i had nothing to do besides music i would do more than 60.. i heard rza used to make like 5 beats a day, kanye 3-5, dre like 4-5, so he's not really breaking any ground here.

sixty beats a months is easy.. i think he makes 60 loops / beatsketches..
i could do that in a week no prob..
but finishing a beat and giving it full attention requires more time and i do like to do some other things besides making beats hehehe.
