Hip Hop 4 Blacks only...

i was wondering if hip hop is only a black thing?..or if it is an innate quality that blacks only possess..lots of times i feel i get a bit of racism thrown at me cause i'm not black..whether its when i meet some people at a hip hop function or cliquing up and making connections outside i get a condescending feeling coming from some people that i'm not supposed to be doing hip hop..it's not just blacks but whites, asians, and anybody else who listens to the mainstream "hip hop" our culture shoves down their throats...if i'm not "supposed" to do hip hop i guess i'll quit...what do ya'll think?

hip hop was, and is, "black music", just like every other popular form of music once was, it seems. that doesnt mean "blacks are only aloud", although some possess that type of ignorance.... but all that is is the same ignorance the fat, middle aged, white suits have towards those same people. .. . . .... .. .

the way things are now, you want to just be yourself and if people dont like it.... thats really their own issue. dont give up something you love- ANYTHING you love, in any circumstance, because someone else doesnt think you belong.

It derived from the "inner city",,,the White majority back then immediatly called it a "Black Thing" because of it's inner city roots. But lets look this way,,,,Check the "Planet Rock" video from Afrika Bmbataa...is the majority all Black?,nope. There were Latin, Black, White, and Asian breakers. Look at the Sugar Hill Gang's Rapper's Delight video,,,sure there had to be a certain amount of white folks in Hip Hop videos back then(the 80's sucked) but ya get the picture. Hip Hop as we al know consists of 4 elements. 4, fuck all that new shit,,if it aint broke don't fix it! Color was never part oof Hip Hop,,,the White majority and stuffy ass White Record Execs' needed to put a "label" on it!

we dont get any of that racial shit in the UK, cuz mostly the people that listen to, and doing hip hop are white. The "inner city" is white in England and as a result our beats sound different to yankee beats. Its not even an inner city thing anymore, more and more middle class folks are listning to hip hop now, as it is bass driven music.
