Help please

I just dusted off my mpc1000. I got it last year but I never used it because I was frustrated with it. I finally got it to sample but my problem is making the sample go to all the pads. No matter what pad I hit the sample starts from the beginning. Can somebody shed a little light on my situatuion?

I got a 2500 you have to go to mode then trim, thats where you trim your smaple, then mode and progam, slect "sample" option and put the cursor on the top slot , then turn the dial and it will go through all the sample you have in there , do this with each pad thats how you assign them..
Dont forget to also select parameters under that program mode and turn the "poly" to "mono"
for many of thoise samples, or they play over the top of one another.

Are you asking how to chop the sample into 16 pieces and have it spread across all 16 pads?

Read up on the slice function of your MPC and do the searches like Relic suggested. There is a video out there demonstrating it.
