help !!!! mpc motif unwanted triggeres sz

heres my problem i have a mpc 2000xl and a motif. when i have them both connected in midi and when i try to play some sounds on the motif on some of the keys there will be sounds that are from my mpc and i never even put them on the motif, it seems like somehow its trigging it somehow . how do i fix this

assign midichannels properly via the mpc, set drum to midi and set for the midi channel number you wish to adress on the Motif.

Yup, that's it right there.. I had this problem when I borrowed my guy's mpc.. I wasn't assigning them properly.. You have to use the Midi Device channels for your motif and the drum channels are for triggering sounds from your mpc to work with the motif..

You have to turn the MIDI OUTPUT, soft thru to the OFF setting, not AS TRACK.
