No I dont have a meeting with Russell Simmons....

My PC ,when I try to connect to certain sites(thank God not this one) it keeps giving me the server has timed out message..This started about 72 hours ago..
I installed then got rid of AIM Triton(dont get that by the way)...And ever since I got it this problem has been happening...
Its only on secured sites it would seem, paying bills and myspace sign in, soundclick, etc....
But my old AIM has no problems in operation.
I spent 4 hours on the phone this am, with hardware support, to paying for Dell tech support(which aint cheap) and let them pillage and rape my machine to get it working...
Nothing can be fixed, they are baffled..The suggestion I got was to reinstall xp.Thus wiping out my internet exsistence...That cant happen either.
SO, I have read on here when this "thing" (Fubar computer) has happened to Elementree and 5th sequence I think and they got another hardive and transfered all info to the new one,,
Is this the best course of action? (I have never done that)
If my music software and hardware(which is not plugged into the internet) is the pallet, then the store to market and sell it and connect with folks is this one...
Wth do yall reccomend? Ironically this (Illmuzik)is about the only thing I can get to come up...
Suggestions?
thanks...

Not sure if you are aware there is a VML exploit currently in effect and newly launched, Microsoft has not come up with an official fix yet though, it has affected a lot of sites and if you not sure about what I am talking about do a search for VML exploit, it could be a coincidence for you though because I am not having problems so you might want to check your comp out with a fresh virus scan with a new virus signature.

my problem was my harddrive straight up died. thats why i transfered all my ish to another hard drive, it wasn't anything to do with the internet.

if you do try going that route, really think if it's worth it or not to go through it. it sucks having to reinstall all of your programs and backing up ALL of your samples and sounds that you've used and transfering that shit. cuz if it's not transfered properly, any beat you've made in FL wont load correctly if you have samples in it.

it just means you'd have to manually find and reload the samples into your project, but it was a nightmare for me when i went through it. Plus all of the drivers and the setup that i had... having to refigure out that shit was horrible.

just givin my advice from experience.. it may be worth holdin out with that restricted internet until you find some alternative.

Good luck man

I got you. same shit was happenin to me a hwile back but worse. I couldnt even open up any windows. Maybe i can send you Adaware since you cant download. run that, and make sure you clear your Startt up items. Cuz 9/10 times its a program that loads up in the background when u turn on ur comp, that fucks shit up.

To do this:
1. Go to Start > Run
start_run.gif

2. Type MSCONFIG in the "Open:" box and then either press enter on your keyboard or click on the OK button.
msconfig.gif

3. This launches Microsoft's System Configuration Utility. Click on the Startup tab (the tab at the far right).
general_tab.gif

If you use Windows XP, you'll notice that the Microsoft System Configuration Utility screen looks a little different than the one in Windows 98, 98 SE, or ME. But it still works the same. Click on the Startup tab (the tab at the far right).
msconfig_xp.gif

4. This takes you to a page with a list of "startup items." Startup items are programs that are automatically loaded every time you turn on your computer. Some startup programs are absolutely necessary, others are simply a waste of RAM.

The only startup items you absolutely need are:

* ScanRegistry
* TaskMonitor
* SystemTray
* LoadPowerProfile
* Your antivirus program (trust me, you won't have a hard time figuring out which one is your antivirus program. It is pretty obvious.)

Since you need these startup items to be running all the time in order for your computer to work properly, make sure there is always a check mark next to all of these startup items.

If you don't see one or two these items in your list of startup items, that's cool. For example, some people may not have a LoadPowerProfile while others may have two. The big thing to remember is that you don't want to uncheck any of these files if you have them.

The rest of the startup items, however, are completely optional. Whether you leave these optional startup items on or turn them off is completely up to you. A good rule of thumb is to disable only those programs that you recognize and don't need to have running all the time. When in doubt, leave it on. Or, better still, check out Paul "PacMan" Collins' huge "Startup Applications" list at http://www.sysinfo.org/startuplist.php

Cleanin up that Start Up shit worked wonders for me.
