Well Basically I got alot of Disco Records I Dont no if its just me or Do most feel disco is hard to sample from. I just Find there is no Breaks and the drums are always SO SO Present . I mean maybe if i was a House Producer I could use alot of this Cuz alot has that 4 on the floor Drum Pattern Goin on But for hiphop im having a hard time finding anything useable . Am I right or Wrong IM just gettin Heavy into the Sampling thing anyways SO any Suggestions Pointers anything Regarding My Disco Dilema Lemme No Watsup .

Side Note ...

Basically My Dads a Dj Since like 77,78 and has a Huge Huge Collection Of Records I dont get to see him that much so i cant sit there goin threw all of em , so is there anything You Guys Suggest I Get him to throw in a Crate for me

good luck sampling disco that stuff sounds horrible to me, but having said that if u got an ear for it u can flip it, cos look at mf doom he flips some of that stuff.

but i say if u dont take to the music why force urself to sample from it just find something else u feel cos then u more likely to make something that best represents ur sound/style

Horns, strings, bass, vocals even kicks are all ripe on disco records. try listening to them on 33 instead of 45 to better gauge what to use at hip hop tempos.
