I'm fucking around with Ableton Live 8 (or should I get 9?). Basically, I have a shitty Dell PC that I want to turn into a hip hop and EDM production machine.
I'm used to using ProTools and Cubase like a champ for 20 years. But Ableton fucks with me.
FIRST QUESTION:
Why don't any of the Ableton Live Instruments fucking work when I play a sample loop that comes pre-programmed with it? The audio samples work but none of the fucking instruments. Also, when I do the test tone in the "audio" section, it makes the tone, so I have audio sound from Ableton. I just don't have the fucking instruments.
What do I do?
If you answer, please add some detail. This DAW is different from what I'm used to.
