Garageband Jampacks?

Are they worth the money? I'm looking to add some variety to my music, and I'm sure this would help, but I am wary of apple, and wonder if anyone here has a review to help me?

I would just buy Logic Studio for $500 it is not much more money and it comes will ALL the jam packs.
