Full Sail Grad...Right here!
Yo son, I graduated from Full Sail. I graduated in June '02, from the R.A. program. I have not made a single cent from my degree. I am not telling you this to dicredit Full Sail. I am merely telling you this because, I feel that Full Sail completly misrepresents itself. I was, as I'm sure you were, promised a very easy time trying to find a job in the industry. The fact of the matter is this, it does not matter how much you learn at Full Sail, if you don't have time doing the actual job you will not get hired. Studios are looking for engineers who have been through the studio recording process many times. It's nothing against your talents or skills, it's just the fact of the matter. I hope you can come out of this experience with a better outlook than I've come out of it with, but that's been my experience with talking with most of the kids I graduted with. If you really want a good gig, take that ridiculous price that your paying for tuition and living expenses and get yourself an Pro Tools HD rig (fully stocked) and learn it your damn self. You'll get your money back way quicker. I don't mean to walk all over the vision you had of Full Sail, but just enjoy your time there. You're gonna make a lot of lifetime friends, and have some amazing memories. Other than that, stay focused and have fun. Good luck man. Tell Hunter Manning I said hi.
Peace
