nah bro i just dont like how theres almost NO good presets and u do have to tweak the shit out of em. It is very versatile, and you could do great things w/ it i just dont got time to sit down and mess w/ it. Now tht im workin and goin 2 college i dnt barely got time to Mess w/ beats let alone edit every aspect of a sound wave lmao.

I think both suck, never liked the pro53 then again, i dont like the sound of SC mostly anyway except for monophonic analogues. FM8 is ok, not a biggest fan of fm either, less operators tend to give a cooler sound (I have a dx100, just for the lately bass hehehe) I am rather curious about the FS1r.

Understanding synthesis is a must...presets lol

I can't begin to count how many different vsti's I've played around with. Your preferred virtual instruments depend on the type of music that you produce. In my opinion you won't use either FM8 or Pro 53 enough for hip hop or RnB production to have them in your arsenal. When I was new to vsti's I grab'd up as many as I possibly could 85% of which I deleted and moved on from. You'll soon find that the best vsti's are the ones that give you multi instruments and do more than a couple of things.

Right now my "go to" vsti's are: Kontakt 3, Kore 2 and Gladiator! Then I have Imposcar, Vanguard Virus, Urbeschell Elastik, Predator and Korg Digital Legacy Collection which are used as well but not nearly as much as the first 3. Gladiator has the dopest synth sounds I've heard and you can stay within Kontakt or Kore 2 and produce any genre of music. Ableton suite instruments and sounds round everything off. If you can't produce a banger with my first 3 and Ableton producing bangers just ain't in u!
