Wud up everybody... quick lil questions

I'm a FLStudio user, and in FL, there is a Cut itself function that makes it that, when you have a sound that a sound cant play over itself (it cuts the sound it was playing so the new sound take it's place... sorry if that's not clear...)
Is there the same function on the MPC?

2nd question. is there a way to ask that a sound stops automatically when you let go of the pad and that it keeps on playing when you let your finger on the pad...

If it makes a difference, I'm using the MPC1000

set up a mute group.....I cant go completely into it...but say for instance you have a open hi hat....on pad 1 a closed hat on pad 2....look at the parameter for the sample....you can place them both in mute group 1......or whatever make sure they are in the same one....this will give you the realistic cutoff when you play a high hat pattern.....the open hat will close and cutoff when you hit the closed hat on pad2...
you can do that with samples too...its one of the dopest features if you know how to use it...along with decay and attack.......also for your second question placing a sample by itself in a mute group will give you the effect you want too...put a sample in any mute group by itself...hit it repeatedly and see what magic happens...you can put fx and other tricks on it....

mute groups are what works good for cutting one pads sound when u hit another pad

if u wanna repeatedly hit one pad and have the sound cut itself just change it to mono in the program or mode screen

assigning it to the same mute group works also

for your 2nd question, go into PARAMETERS, and where it says VOICE OVERLAP, change it to NOTE OFF.

Read the manual and figured it out... thx anyways...
