Hector Lavoe was probably the most influential Salsero ever. An incredible entertainer and ahead of his time. I know this is a Hip Hop site but we all know that Hip Hop borrows alot of it's sounds and ideas from other genres of music. Either way this should be an excellent movie. They casted the lead role correctly w/ Marc Anthony playing Hector.

I'll check the link at home later on, but loving that NuYorican sound (Tito Puente/EddiePalmieri/LaIndia/etc). I was lucky to get introduced to it via Masters at Work - Kenny Dope and Louie Vega, two of the best NYC producers in history...

And agreed hip hop is all styles, that's what makes Questo so great, hip hop is the ability to play any genre and make it bounce...
