Editing Soundfonts

I have a very big soundfont (8 megs) which is split up into different categories. I only use the bassounds so is there a way for me to get rid of the other sounds to make it smaller?

Hey,

Can't you open the sf2 into Vienna, delete all the programs and waves that you don't want, then save the remaining ones that you want to keep as another sf2 file?

If you didn't know about Vienna, it is a program with which you can create and edit Sound Fonts, a quick search on the internet should find it for you. It's free, btw.

thanks, but vienna can´t initialize my soundcard and abrupts. is there a similar program available that can do the job? if i use vsampler i can´t read the Sf2 in fruity
