Edison to Record Vocals

Has anyone used Edison in FL Studio 6.x to record vocals. There are other threads that discuss recording vocals in FL Studio with various recommendations (e.g., export to other sequencers, selecting Asio driver and recording straight to audio in playlist). I used to use FL as a rewire or DXI client in Sonar, but that is cumbersome...

I'd recommend you record vocals directly to a mixer track. After you stop recording your audio clip will automatically be placed in the playlist. No need to export it to another sequencer because you can do it all inside FL.

Edisons' purpose is actually to act more like a real sampler. To sample oneshot instruments or a few bar loops and stuff. Not actually for recording vocals.
That's what audio tracks are here for (like already recommended )
