Yeah Bro, Im just a gear head, I got ish just because I like the way it looks...lol. Im getting ready to pick up a Mackie Control Surface soon... I also attached a pic of the ZeRO SLMkII which is a very nice, clean looking piece as well...Right now I have an Edisol but she gotta go...lol

Sorry I am not a fan of the mackie control or the novation stuff.
First any control surface without motorized faders is a big pain so Novation is out.
And the mackie control have you used one dac? Its freakin loud you can hear the motors ahh. Sadly Digidesign really does a great job with this. Check out Euphonix stuff also.

No I hadn't but now thats the first thing Im gonna listen for...lol. I have a motorized mackie mixing console with very very little motor noise you probally wouldnt even notice it unless youre listening for it and ive had it for years, but hey things change...Im gonna research it. Thanks for the heads up! Im checking Euphonics and Digidesign now.

Only do the digi surface if you are a pro tools guy.
Those Euphonix controllers have been on my wish list for a hot minute, but their soooo expensive! Plus, to really benefit from them 100% it seems like you really need to expand the system as they allow u to do with the extra add-ons.....and of course thats another whopping $1000+....so yeah, i can pretty much guarantee Ill never be copping those just becuz of the price tag, but they def have looked the most promising for quite some time now.
The only thing that didn't look to well thought out on that piece was the transport controls. They just appear too small and not strategically placed IMO, but I also haven't used the Euphonix line yet either...so its possible the buttons grow on you for sure.

OK Chris, The Digidesign Control Surfaces are for PT, very expensive for little to nothing imo. (or am I missing something?) The C8, being their entry level Control Surface didn't impress me and the next step up is the 24, and it is getting close to 5 digits! ridiculous for a Control Surface to put it mildly.
The Euphonix Control Surfaces aren't eye appealing to me at all, they may have silent motors but they don't offer much as far as a line or appeal goes.
Any other suggestions?

The C8 has more features than the mackie control, what did not impress you?
The euphonix stuff you have to use to really get, but if you side by side a euphonix to a mackie control the euphonix wins every time. But honestly I have sold all my control surfaces because I can mix with a mouse faster anyway.

as it is cheaper and wireless.
The euphonix stuff is so great becuase of the eucon protocol. Finally something to replace HUI, read up on Eucon its really powerful.

WHOA! yes that was cool, Im really feeling the Euphonix, the search that I pulled didnt show that model. I haven't read up on it yet but just from the looks, it doesn't look expandable at all but anyway...it looks very cool.
Yes, I use PT (as a matter of fact, you sold it to me....lol), I use it regularly for vocals and various projects at the studio...nothing on the internet or on ILL anymore. The stuff Im buying now is for my home setup so digidesign/PT isnt a must if that makes sense.

Yea man if you rock PT than get the C8 I owned one for a long time and it worked great. You can also use it as a monitor front end.

Yea the euphonix stuff is totaly expandable. Add as many as you like.
But seriously, get the C8 for your rig dac.
If you were a Logic guy I would say Euphonix hands down. But for PT stick with Digi surfaces they work SO much better.

But dac I am telling you as a friend the Euphonix stuff does not work nearly as good with PT as the C8 does. Trust me.
