I wanted to buy the mophatt but yesterday I read an old article about hip-hop expansion boards for roland jv synth's
What about those expansions? Does anyone know what's the best?

The Emu Mo-Phat is cool.... I do like a few sounds on it.

Although I don't have one in my setup, I use the Roland XV 5080 module. Roland has tons of expansion boards you can but in it too!

If money's not an issue...get a roland buddy!

The proteus is much better than the mo-phatt.

The Mo-Phat does have some corny sounds on there.

Like I said, its not what you use, its how you use it!

I think I will buy the Roland jv-1080 and add the hip-hop expansion board, cause the jv's got mo' interesting expansions and they are not 2 expensive.

Yo Helios, Just go to a music shop and play with a few modules. Thats really the best thing I can tell.

Once you know what each mod. is capable of.........then buy what you like the best!
