Hello, dear Fade!

Could beat be longer than 2 minutes? Because it is really hard to achieve all the ideas in this amount of time.

Thank you.

Best wishes,
Victor

Sorry, it's set for 2 minutes. Besides, I'm sure some members have already done their beat since the signups are tomorrow. What is it you want to do?

I am working on some Christmas project during last days but I have intro that involves over a 30-40 sec, so I asked you if there any chance to make it longer.
But now I understand what you tried to say and hope to make it shorter...

Yeah that's it. Usually it's 2 minutes but sometimes it will be 4 minutes if it's a remix.

UPDATE

Hey guys, sorry but I'll have to post the results sometime tomorrow. My computer just crashed so I'm trying to deal with that right now.

Well I was gonna wait for the results to come in before commenting, but since thats not happening until tom. I'll just do it now... Gonna be busy tom.

My top 5 beats were:
1. MCAntonym - XMAS
2. Shuka4Beats - Shchedryk
3. Dub1Beatz - Shmerry Christmas
4. Joeburnem - Merry Christmas
5. Tactik - Xmas Bellz

@MCAntonym I really liked this beat. A lil dark, a lil creepy, and a lil weird... Just the kinda beats I like. The intro loop/sample seemed to be a lil off, but once the beat came in it wasn't as noticeable... When you drop out the sample around 1:30 and just have the bell/keys (whatever that sound is) with the bass and drums, that sounded really good... to me... What was the name of the song you sampled? Reminds me of Home Alone lol

@Shuka4Beats This beat was really good as well. The way you are able to build your beats up is impressive... I think you will probably take the victory on this one. I would've voted your beat as number 1, but MCAntonym's beat was what my ears liked, and I can't argue with them. Also good job on playing out the melody instead of using a sample. (Maybe you were using samples... but thats just what it sounded like to me.)

@Dub1Beatz First off, I like the title "Shmerry Christmas" lol, but this beat sounds tough. Definitely something suited for a battle. I like the way you used the sample...

@joeburnem I definitely like this beat. Not sure about the "Chestnuts" sample lol, but it still sounds good.

@TACTIK I really like the way you chopped up all the samples. Definitely a fitting beat for the theme.

There were some other beats that sounded good, but I wasn't just looking for the best sounding beats, I was looking for beats that fit the theme as well... @ybeatz You fell into this category... Your beat sounded really good, but I thought there were other beats that fit the theme a lil better. Good job though.

@Sol-Ra You get points for playing out the melody instead of using a sample (at least thats what it sounds like to me) Unfortunately just not enough points to get you into my top 5.

Good Luck to everyone that entered... I wasn't sure what to expect with a "christmas theme," and I must say I was surprised... You guys got your creative juices flowing on this one and put together some nice beats. Much better than I could do for sure.
