Here is a group everyone who loves hiphop should finally discover if you havent already....I checked these guys out about 6 yrs ago and ever since then a whole new world of hiphop opened up that i didnt even know existed. Plain an simple - Atmosphere is fucking dope!...I havent heard a wack album to date...tha shit jus keeps getting better. This is going to be his 4rth studio release, but he has had many other albums thats made him tha rapper he is now...His style is unique and really like no other and for that reason you should at least see what hes about.
Tha new album dropping in september is on epitaphs label ironically since not too long ago Slug from Atmosphere was asked to join tha warped tour...which means many angry punk rockers and mainstreamers are going to here about Atmosphere and pass tha word along to tha rest of their buddies and girlfreinds and before you know it...dudes fucking huge. Hes already been blowin up for a while, but with this partner release with epitaph along with his own indipendent label (Rhymesayers Ent.) - its just going to throw him out there even more.
Anyways nuff said...heres a couple links to their site and tha new album as well as afilliated crews.
And Big Ups to Ants Production!!!

Peace.

Yeah, I heard of Atmosphere from when they signed to Epitaph, which is a punk rock label, dispite signing Sage Francis too. Which I suppose is pretty good for the underground cause it'll hopefully bring in a different angle to look at hiphop from (especially from a marketing standpoint).
I've sadly not heard any of their shit yet, but I'll get round to it eventually...until then I'll have to take your word for it that they're dope..

That albums huge!!!...Probably one of Ants best produced albums next to tha lucy ford elp's...plus Ali is a serious mc not to be fucked with ...albino or not!!LOL.

Thats how Slug iz though...He plays that angle cuz it gets him hunnies, but sometimes he might be serious. Slug, without a doubt iz one of tha dopest lyricists ive ever heard. Once you get past tha fact maybe you never liked a rappers voice like that before or whatever your stigma may be and just listen to this dude - he turns out to be so ill and honest that theres no way you cant dig his shit. Its like listening to well written book or something - shit iz mad ill!
==============================================

Oh I forgot!....Slug and Atmosphere are coming through my town pretty soon along with tha muthafuckin micranots, oddjobs, and brother ali!...Im sooo fucking stoked i dont have to leave chico for tha first time to be entertained! Ah yeah!....Yo check tha RSE web page cuz their touring right now for 'sevens travels'....they might be comin your way?

Ive been a fan since tha Headshots volumes only available on tape...
and I know these guys have potential - no doubt. Shit, tha funny thing iz these guys are more street these days along with allied crews like tha def jux family or tha Living Legends crew compared to alot of cats out right now. Straight B-Boyin', reality type hiphop - I fuckin luv that shit! Theres a level of identification that these cats bring along with a progressive newer flavor that alot of these other dudes just arent bringin to tha table - I think thats one of the defining differences...Slug or tha Grouch or who ever from these type of camps arent going spit some shit thats purely gonna make money and fit into a perfect little wrapped package, instead these cats are speakin tha real...not 'tha real!' - but like tha real!...Dudes just another man jus like you, and thats evident, other fools tha same - but they be frontin like their shit dont stink or somethin' instead of jus being like - ' yo!...I can flip this any way i wanna, so i think ima do somethin original!'...Its a rareity you know? Anyway im not tryin to boast or brag, i just thought i should add that little bit to tha thread.
