When choppin on the asr, how do you assign segments of a sample to individual keys? I've tried the copy wavesample function (and changed the root key), but it doesn't allow me to hear all the wavesamples in a layer at once. Any suggestions?
I think i understand your question right, let me know.
You cant just sample the whole shit, then cut it to different keys. You gotta sample it and play the root key where you want it. Then sample then next thing you want and play the root key for that. Then sample the next thing and all that, etc... I know its a pain in the ass, but this is the only method i know of. Let me know if you need me to rephrase that.
ok, i just thought that it was possible to copy the wave to certain keys. So, you're saying that if i had a drum break and I wanted to chop it up within one instrument and i wanted to assign a different drum in the break to each key (snare on one key/kick on one key). I'd have to sample the same break over and over each time, and assign different roots to each key?
