I figured this thing deserved its own thread. I know there is some Apple hate around here and I think you know I disagree with most of it, but let’s set that aside. This thing is INCREDIBLE. I think people are not understanding what this product is. It is NOT a VR headset. It is what Apple whats to replace the Mac/Ipad/Apple TV with. This is the future of computers for Apple. The pitch is with Vision Pro you dont need a computer, a monitor, a TV NOTHING. Film editors are buying this thing like crazy because they can edit on their Mac in Final Cut while using the Vision Pro and then in real time look up and see their changes on a 100’ screen in any environment.
It also is room aware, so you can have a grocery list on your fridge for example. Check this video out.
Now I think it will take a few generations to really hit it stride and I think Apple has a 50/50 chance of pulling this off, but if they do it’s a game changer. Crazy stuff. What do you guys think? After I saw that Moog made a 3d synth for the thing it got me thinking about all kinds of use case scenarios. Really cool stuff. I am the target market for this thing, I imagine setting my desk up outside and working with my giant screens in my back yard. I never buy a v1 product, so I will wait a bit. But I will seriously consider v2.
