Are VST3 plugins 64bit only?

Plus, all the developers hate VST3. Both host developers and plugin developers

I use it, to run 32 bit plugins in my 64 bit host. Should work fine the other way around, which I've done for kontakt and others in Abelton previously.

Yo...if you're having problems with certain plugins and if you wish you could use 64bit plugins on a 32 bit computer or vice versa try this. Ableton is not a 64bit DAW "yet" so you're really not getting the extras running it on a 64bit machine. With this you can! I wish I had known about this years ago. The ability to change how a plugin acts within your DAW is Genius. Definitely a gem for cpu hawg heavy plugins.

May be pc only though..not sure! There's not a plugin I can't use now bwah ha ha ha ha ha

yeah, the main reason for using it with ableton is you can get around the memory limitations of ableton/32bit programs. So stuff like Kontakt, Spectrasonics plugins, and others that use tons of memory, can do so.

So you can have a ton of ram in your computer, and even though ableton can't take advantage of it all, your 64 bit plugins can, so you can bridge them in and not run into that dredded "out of memory" when using a bunch of sample based plugins.
