[Cold Truth]

i am in the middle of this movie right now... i have seen it once before, but didnt remember it being as good as it is. who here has seen this movie? do any of you like it? it makes you think real hard about a lot of things...... anyways just wondering if any of you have seen it and what you think of it.

Yeah...if my memory serves me correctly, tha movie exposed how racist assfucks really can be, and how manipulated their minds really are...That shit was mad deep! Fuck Racists and their Assfucking friends!!!

While racism is pretty lame, I LOVE stereotypes: there is nothing funnier than seeing a black guy making fun of a white guy, Eddie Murphy was a genius at this.

Some white stereotypes:

1. We're all rich.
2. We all play golf.
3. We all own boats.

but...

1. We all sleep with our sisters.
2. We all drive pickup trucks.
3. We live in the backwoods of Alabama.

all mexicans mow lawns, all minorities are on welfare, every hispanic MUST speak spanish, all asians own convenience stores.... stereotypes are always hilarious to people until its their group in the joke...

but this movie was more about the poisining of a mans mind and what it took to renew that guys mind, not racism.

This has to be one of my favorite movies...Big time racist becomes black man in prisons best friend..Only part I didn't like was he didn't get any of the airian back for that shower shit...They should have died one by one

Hey,

I like me some fried chicken, yessir! The best place in the world is KFC because of the hot sauce they give you in the little black packets. I take tons of that stuff home and use it on other food, like sandwiches.

Is American History X the movie with Edward Furlong, Edward Norton, and the dj from Juice? If it is, I wanted to beat the shit out of some of those guys, they were real dickheads.

In high school I had a friend who moved to Arizona from Louisiana, a real good ol' boy who was very polite and well spoken. There was this black girl I was friends with, he told me that he had wanted to kill her until he found out that we were friends...it was really crazy shit!

We all used to tell racist jokes and make fun of the hip hoppers because of the clothes they wore (I was a metal-head back then), but it wasn't so funny anymore when my friend started bringing a gun to school 'just in case one of 'em tries to start something with us'.

It was so screwed up. None of us hated anyone, we just made fun of people because, well, I guess it was high school....but when the REAL racism came out from this guy, it scared the crap out of us. I mean, he was SERIOUSLY involved in the Klan we later found out, his dad had been one of those dudes who wore pillow cases over his head. His dad beat the crap out of him when he found out that one of my friends was black.

At my high school we had a ton of kids from the local military base, a lot of them were Asian, black, Mexican, mixed...he eventually had to keep his mouth shut because he was totally outnumbered

That movie was dope. I saw it in the theater when it first came out and it seemed like everyone in the theater was surprised at how good the movie was (considering it didn't get much publicity).

Racist or not, you gotta love the bite-the-curb-and-kick-to-the-back-of-the-head scene! LOL. Another part I really like was when they were playing blacks vs. whites for the bball court. And then Norton takes off his shirt to reveal his tattoo. Good stuff.

That was the most gangster thug type of shit I ever seen in a movie..white or black that was straight up criminal creativity

Edward norton is such a good actor. Check the versatility.....from an insignificant insomniac in fight club to a stompa nazi in american history x.

Another scene I like is when they were all sitting down to eat and the mother had her Jewish boyfriend over. If you watch it carefully, you'll notice how Norton starts off with basic conversation and gradually builds up to have so much hatred in his voice and he won't let the conversation die. That's when I realized how good of an actor this guy really is.

And yeah, those guys in the prison should have gotten payback for that ass fucking in the showers. And the guard too for turning his back!

The movie was good and will be a classic. It wasn't as good as "the greatest movie of alltime--SCARFACE" but it ranks up there with movies like "THE KING OF NEW YORK" and "THE GODFATHER".
