I don't know the money differences between america and canada but I got my mpc2000xl for 1200$ u.s. brand new without the 8 outs....but I installed the 8 out expansion board on my own I brought for 150$ u.s. that's 1350 for a 2000xl and the one with the eight out had no expanded memory just 8 outs and it was 2300 at that time ....if you decide to get one get it without the eight out or the memory and add the other features on your own it will be cheaper an upgrade in sample time(memory) is 100$u.s. I don't think that there is that much of a difference in money up north

You should look on Ebay if u can in Canada, I dont know. But i got hooked up with an MPC2000xl Studio with an external CD-Rom drive, and like 6 drum sample cd's for $1300 US. Everything is in perect condidtion too.(i dont know what the difference is between U.S money and Canda is)
