We'll all be dead and people will still be debating whether something is copyright infringement or not. I've talked about this for years and it just gets even more confusing nowadays since you have to consider AI as well.

The whole argument of fair use is weird because it just opens it up for debate right away.

Besides AI though, if I make a drum track with a drum machine, who owns it? The sounds came from the drum machine. Okay, it's considered my creation, but then what if I take a snare from the drum machine and layer it with a snare from someone's song? Did I create that? Is it infringement? Or is it fair use?

Technically it would be your recording, but your recording contains someone else's recording.

Personally I think corporate greed is killing everything, not AI. AI is just a tool, its not even real intelligence, its artificial intelligence. It appears to be intelligent but it really isn't. Much like in music production, if you put garbage in then you get garbage out.
