I record in a small, square, low ceilinged basement. What methods (besides EQ and recording techniques) can I use to squeeze the best sound possible out of the room?

Some other Ill Muzik peeps stated this in another post, I'll just pass it along...

get some foam rubber mattresses from wal mart or whatever big company is in your area and make a near triangle with em, and if you can't afford that right now, just get some blankets and hang em from the ceiling... Not too expensive for making vocals not sound "tinny" and "reverberated" on a low budget. If you can really afford it though, get some sound dampening material from a big audio store, which will work even better...
