a lil help from a sample Genius please!

Ok check this out im not a "G" at sampling up till this year i just started doing it (use to use alot of live cats.)any how my Rapper came to me and asked me to do something Specific so of course i was up to it. ok he wants me to sample "Cash Money Is A Army" but he just wants the begining part where BG says "Money making is my hobbie im just tryin ta be rich" thats going to be the hook. 2 things im having trouble with: one the Tempo, its pitched down -3 and 2: getting the high hats low enough. any advice?

I'm not quite sure what you are talking about, can you not just speed the sample up, or the slow it down to fit the tempo of the Beat? What do you mean by gettin the high hats low enough??

Oh i see, like on the sample, i was thinking two different things, I thought he had the acapella, and was just talking about his hi hats i wasn't sure. Try and find the Accapella if you don't have it, it will make it alot easier and to keep that sample sounding good. Def should try and filter it though if you can't get the acapella.

thanks you guys like i said b4 i never sampled b4 so i never thought about acapellas or instrumentals for that much. so thanks for the point in the right direction
